Know what is holding up an imaging examination

We are developing RadLucent Flow to help radiology operational teams understand blocked examinations, see who owns the next action and coordinate resolution across systems and organisations.

The problem

An examination is delayed. Finding out why takes time.

When an examination cannot progress, operational teams may need to search different systems, contact technical colleagues and chase suppliers for answers. Information can be scattered across worklists, logs, support tickets and emails.

RadLucent Flow aims to bring the relevant information together so teams can understand the blockage and coordinate the next step.

Illustrative concept

The proposed solution

Clear information and coordinated action

01

Understand the blockage

A plain-language explanation of the available evidence and any information still missing.

02

See who needs to act

A shared record of the responsible team, next action and latest update.

03

Track time and progress

Visibility of elapsed time and agreed reporting deadlines, using information supplied by the provider.

04

Keep people informed

AI-assisted drafts of operational updates and technical escalations for staff to review.

05

Vendor neutral

Designed to help teams detect, investigate and coordinate the resolution of workflow exceptions across existing RIS, PACS and integration systems, without replacing them.

How it would work

Three steps from exception to resolution

01

Connect

Bring together authorised workflow information from existing radiology and integration systems.

02

Identify and explain

Use defined rules to identify exceptions and AI to summarise the supporting evidence.

03

Coordinate

Help staff assign ownership, record actions and communicate progress.

i

The proposed platform would support operational investigation. It would not interpret medical images or make diagnostic decisions.

Who it is for

Built for the teams keeping examinations moving

Teleradiology providers
NHS radiology operational teams
Independent diagnostic providers
Imaging networks

About

Clinical insight and technology leadership focused on patients

RadLucent was founded by Christa Speer, a healthcare technology leader with a background in diagnostic radiography, imaging informatics and senior clinical systems leadership. Her experience spans frontline patient care, the management of critical imaging services and the delivery of major technology transformation.

Christa understands that behind every examination is a person waiting for answers. Combining clinical insight with experience leading complex imaging programmes, Christa founded RadLucent to help operational teams identify barriers, coordinate action and keep examinations moving towards a timely report, supporting the next step in each patient's care.

Teleradiology provider view

Explore a fictional network of 50 sites. Identify affected clients and investigate missing studies, incomplete transfers, missing orders, queue delays and delayed AI results.

Hospital view

Follow your hospital's studies, understand what is holding up progress and see which team needs to act.
